Dr Weronika Kortas – works as an assistant at the Institute of Information and Communication Research at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. In 2022, she defended her doctoral thesis in the field of social communication and media (social sciences). She is a graduate of Library and Information Science and Sociology at NCU in Toruń. She also completed post-graduate studies "User Experience - designing applications, products and services" at WSB in Gdańsk.
She organized several scientific conferences, including the 1st (2019), 2nd (2020), 4th (2022) and 5th (2023) National WIAD Conference and the 1st International WIAD Conference in 2021 (5 in total as part of the World Information Architecture Day). She is a member of the ISKO Scientific Society and the editorial board of the scientific journal "TSB".
Role in the project: study planning and evaluation of ET applications in terms of user experience (UX)
Interests: Internet communities (functioning and meeting the information and communication needs of their members); UX - building positive user experience; information architecture; design thinking; user-centric design (UCD); social reading; utility.
